Earlier today I recived a "Work From Home" info packet. I never asked for it but someone sent it to me anyway. This info packet doesn't say much other than how you can make lots of money from this program.

This CE ordered and received "info packet" from a couple of people or couples. They were the same through and through. I sent a notice to each of them not to, again, place their signs in my city. I don't think they have been back, but, at least, I got the satisfaction of sending the notices. Never give up.

Here's what you do: Shred the packet. Put it in an envelope with a note about your displeasure at spamming. Put their address on both the return and addressee spot. Drop it in mailbox w/o a stamp. It will likely be overweight, forcing them to pay postage to get back their shredded brochure. Same thing w/ HERBALIE distributors who spam windshields, glue business cards to ATM's, etc.

Here's another idea for those who are so inclined:
Contact your local television station's news department and see if you can get them to send out a cameraman and reporter to photograph the booklet along with your collection of illegal signs that have been removed. It makes a pretty impressive display when you lay out 50 to 100 signs and it sure does make a point that will come across well on television.
If you have locations in your town where there are still illegal signs you could encourage them to photograph the locations.

Here's what you do: Create a database of the 800 numbers, names and addresses culled from the signs, etc. you have seen and the booklets you have requested. Using a pay phone, or a blocked number, call the number at the top of your list. Request a 14 page booklet, and give the address of the distributor second from the top. Then, call the second 800 number on your list. Request a 14 page booklet be sent to the address that's 3rd on your list. Repeat until you get really really bored, or go through your entire list. Do this often, varying which numbers send to which addresses. Some distributors have to pay for every call to their 800 number, plus they pay the postage to send the booklet out. Imagine the look on the face of a distributor, who is sent the booklet by his competition!

Something more interesting to do is to call the 800 numbers on the signs and request for a booklet. Then give them the address for the postal inspector's office or the CE office. If you're feeling really mean give them the addresse for a local police department. It is possible that these booklets can represent mail fraud.
