A friend of mine is going to shingle the roof of his chicken coop with some signs I took down this week.
He and I are also sharing a big crop of stakes for fireplace kindling. The latest sign-scam in town is using extra long stakes in an innovative way. They duct tape a 4-foot long pine stake to metal street lamp poles then staple or nail two coroplast signs to each stake.
I love these almost more than any other attachment method. It's extremely easy to remove two signs at once. Then by stepping on the sign and twisting the stake, it all comes apart easily. Now I have two signs and some firewood for the effort I usually expend on each sign. And this is costing the spammer three times as much as usual!
We should be sending the coroplast to third world countries. I'm sure they could make good use of them as construction materials (waterproof, durable, standardized shapes). Anyone know if Habitat for Humanity could use them?

Coroplast does last many months on the pole, but it does eventually get very brittle and falls to pieces. It might not make a good building material for anything other than temporary, short-term projects.
I've taken down some old signs that have literally crumbled to pieces in my hands.

Oh yes! I forgot to mention that one. We do that all the time.
It's especially fun to set up 4 or 5 signs on stakes a few feet or yards apart, then aim the shotgun at the first one. You can literally see the spread widening through each successive sign.

Using steel shot (not lead), I hope.
Sorry for the OT comment, but there's too much lead out there in the environment.

We use foam boards to hold our paper targets. I'll just bring a supply of "plastic" boards instead. They will work great, and I have a nearly endless supply.
