I was thinking of having a sign removal contest in my area. Have a minimum number of people who enter - say 10, have them register, give them the rules and a time frame and then a public location like a sheriff sub station and collect the signs. I get some positive feedback from some fellow sharks on craigslist and think I could generate $200 or more....
It would get publicity of the problem, get the community involved and the signs removed in my county.
We have Bay News 9 along with some radio stations that support efforts to make the community better and feel I could get there support.
Anyone else thought of, or tried this? What about political signs I'm sure there will be a hoard of those at every intersection?

I like the idea but youve got to think about the legal ramifications if someone gets hurt. Someone might try to make you liaible for thier injures.
But if you go though with it, heres an idea. Try tagging the back of a few pieces of street spam with some of you own markings. Then give some prizes away to the one who finds the "mystery street spam". I'd also be afriad if you tell people to much ahead of time about the contest, they may stock up on signs just so they can win. But then again if they are removing signs, were all winners.
