Dear Editor – Generally I do not respond to anonymous letters in your columns but the correspondence from “Pride in Stirling” (September 14), deserves a reply on matters relating to cleanliness.
Stirling Council consistently wins awards for keeping our streets clean and yet we still have serious problems with littering.
Where I share the concerns with”Pride in Stirling”, is the failure of our own residents to take responsibility for looking after this wonderful inheritance we have.
That leads to the question – what can we collectively do to improve the situation......
There is a growing number of advertising boards obstructing our pavements and illegal signs going on lamppost’s.
There is a new procedure agreed by Council to regulate Advertising Boards and we will be asking traders to adhere to the new policy.
------_-----------_---------------- Advertising boards are Bandit signs, maybe. This is an UK NEWS organization, and it seems to fit the profile and on topic for this forum.
