"The street spammer told a lie"

I know you guys will be stunned to read this. I had an interesting encounter with a street spammer recently. After we cleaned up a bunch of signs, I called the business owner and politely explained that using street spam is not a good idea. He listened and agreed to stop posting signs. A few weeks later more of his signs reappeared. I called back, and the busines owner told that he had gotten a permit. He sounded a bit smug as he spoke to me. I immediately called CE and learned that only non profit groups are given permits. I asked,"Then why did you give a permit to that business?" The man claimed to be a non profit. SHOCKING!!!!The lady at CE did a quick web search, realized the business owner lied, and revoked his permit.
Now the business parked a big truck om his lot with a sign on it.
I got the last laugh.

You may want to review your sign laws; I would bet they prohibit parking the truck with a sign on it, even if it is on private property.

Making a positive difference!

You're right, the truck sign may be illegal also. I will look into that.

Someone needs to call CE and advise them the truck is obstructing the safe vision distance and needs to be moved.
That has worked in more cases than one. A business tried that in the DFW area several years back when they painted up an old school bus to look like a "Margarita" wagon going to happy hour.

One of the municipalities in the DFW area had to get real nasty with a very popular Mexican food restaurant. The business kept taking the stand that the bus was parked on private property and CE had no jurisdiction, which they found out the hard way.

The town used the TX law that gives them the right to tow any vehicle that is not properly registered and doesn't have a valid inspection sticker.

Yeah, everybody wants to grow up as they are spamming or not but not always they are mostly genuine in many ways.

Oh, there's a hint of cool in the air, and Winter is coming! I've got to gather more firewood... And Sign stakes make great fire starters!
