"Sharky Stick at work :Photos"
Tue Jan-12-10 05:47 PM by DenverShark

Here is the sharky stick I use over the years to remove tough spam like this one I removed recently. It was about 9 ft off the ground and nailed 6 times with the square metal washer used for stucco. It was nailed three times across the bottom. and three times up the middle. I try to remove the whole sign and leave no trace. My step by step with photos:

1:The approach
2:The layout
3:The ground, tumbleweed, tiny little stickers in that stuff

con't from above post.

I swing around to the far side out of the stickers on the ground, and the sun at my back. I use the sharp end of the sharky stick to get under the first row of nails.

1:2 nails rip free from pole with sign
2:pry behind sign to rip sign from third nail
3:3rd nail stayed on pole

con't

Now I start working on the vertical nails. I try to keep the sign intact as much as possible to eliminate strips of coroplast on the pole.

1:using the sign for leverage
2:starts to rip not good
3:go higher, behind strip, and pry more

con't

sharky stick gets two nails to let go of sign. The last and top nail won't pull, and no way to get leverage on sign by prying from above nail. I rip it from the last nail, leaving only a small strip of coroplast on pole.

1:two nails down one to go
2:rip sign from last nail
3:Sharky stick rest, while signs gasp it last breath.

I got a bunch ready to make if you need one. Found some 6ft pipe on trash day and quickly hauled them to the shark cave.

I'll make you one and deliver.

Now Sharkystick is ready.
Sharkyquick for quick kill. And the longer Sharkystick for most prey.
The two can be locked together for bigger kills.

Good catch! I had moved the thread to the general forum and in the process, the images were disconnected. I fix the images - should be ok now.
