"shark attack ..island in Thailand"

Got these pics from a shark attack on Phi Phi Island, Thailand. Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water.

Our work is never done.

Having traveled extensively in SE Asia I can tell you the signs there are worse than anything you have ever seen here. Worse even yet are the political signs.

I'd like to go to Phi Phi Island Thailand and see it for myself. Some of the signs are not in English. Last year USA tourists were encouraged to leave the county again like 14 years earlier, because of government problems. I hope the situation is beter now.

Thailand is a wonderful country and I have been there many times over the years. There is no reason, IMO, not to go there.

Even when there are major government protests, they are in Bangkok, not Phuket or Phi Phi, or Chang Mi, or any of the main tourist areas.

You do want to stay away from the southern border with Malaysia as this is the area where the Thai military has frequent shooting fights with militant muslims.

Most of Thailand is Buddhist and very peaceful, and the people are very friendly.

very friendly.. but I don't know how sharks and spammers get along.

The streets in Phuket Town have a lot of clutter, spam doesn't seem as intrusive as American streets. Spam is competing with all the clutter.

The first pic shows the main road through Phuket Town and the short ROW and clutter. Carport and house next to commercial building and signage. The next pic is a residential neighborhood with spam. Last shot is a secondary road around Phuket Town.

Most spam is the 11x18 size here. Its seems everything is smaller and cheaper. Oh yea, no cars or roads on Phi Phi Island, but they still got spam!
