"It's springtime - time to aggressively remove illegal signs" Wed Mar-11-09 11:30 AM by DenverShark
Hi, folks:
It's springtime - time to aggressively remove illegal signs. Right after daylight savings time, spammers come out of hiding. Be on the lookout for painter's signs (usually big yellow trash-bag type plastic over wire frames) and real estate spam (usually yellow coroplast).
A little extra effort invested now will plow under any new spamming attempts before the signs have a chance to grow.
An illegal sign that is removed (or sharked for that matter) and never sees the light of day sends a strong message to the illegal spammer.

We never stopped removing litter around here... It has been light lately, since December. However, it's curious.... There has been a huge pickup of "we buy houses" type signs again. In fact, I had almost a pickup truck load last weekend from three different groups. Could it be that the banks are starting to lend again to these people? Or do these people just have their own sources of cash....? Or are they scammers? (All of the above?) No matter... Their signage is all treated as litter!
.
Oh, there's a hint of cool in the air, and Winter is coming! I've got to gather more firewood... And Sign stakes make great fire starters!
