So calling the guy illiterate is your comeback? That's really the best you can come up with? Well, it really speaks for the cause (or causs, in this case). He's not a friggin' english teacher, he's a truck driver. I think his point was well taken and understood to most who have a grip on INTENT of what people say.

I share his sentiments when the hypocritical aspect of CAUSS has reared its ugly head. I just saw the pink sign over the actual valid sign today, thus discovering CAUSS. You are spamming to stop spamming. Illegal or not, it's still "spamming". Who in the hell started this, the x-generation'ers who finally found something to fight for? Christ, I'm considered to be part of the x-generation and I could have come up with something better (or nothing, which is pretty much equal to this cause).

And define "litter". What those signs are is not litter.

Now I will go....wait....let me double-check my spelling before the Engliff polise gibes me and "F" for teh day.....

What city did you see this sticker over the illegal sign?

>You are spamming to stop spamming. Illegal or not, it's still
>"spamming".

Not really. When these illegal signs get so out of control and Code Enforcement is not able to keep up with removing them, concerned citizens that care for their communities sometimes remove these illegal signs. When it gets really, really bad, stickers are used sometimes to cover the phone numbers on illegal signs while Code Enforcement is notified. At the same time, these stickers help create community awareness where other concerned citizens can be educated on who to contact and what to do with these illegal and unsightly signs that litter our communities.

>Who in the hell started this, the
>x-generation'ers who finally found something to fight for?

No, just concerned citizens that care for the beauty of our cities.

Making a difference and keeping it clean

Right, but you still cannot escape the fact that you're posting your signs, advertising YOUR service, right on top of someone else's. How do you think I contacted YOU? I think your cause may be just to you, but your method is no better than the people who are "littering" the community. In fact, that fluorescent pink sign is worse than the nice blue/white sign of someone selling their house. I bought my house from a street sign and have no regrets. I do not feel that those signs are a nuisance, and you would probably get that response from 90% of city dwellers. It's a city. Deal with it. Go live in the country if you don't want to put up with that kind of "in your face" advertising.

What pisses me off is the graffiti....now that's a serious problem that needs the utmost attention. Do you guys fight that "street spam" too? Oh wait, no. You promote spray-painting over "illegal street signs". Isn't there something wrong with that? You now promote graffiti. Again, this looks worse than the original signs.

There are obviously larger problems to deal with in cities, such as where to put snow after a blizzard, the homeless (may be a job for you though because they hold their "street spam" in their hands), how to tackle the foreclosure problems, boosting a crappy economy, raising wages to keep the housing market strong, etc.

I know, you have a cause, but really examine what you're doing. From reading the posts, it looks as if you're more intent on trying to ruin people. Now, if you don't mind, I need to get my signs for my business ready to put up......

We are not a service, and not for hire. The CAUSS sticker functions similar to the big red sticker found on your motor vehicle (private registered property) if abandoned on the side of the road.

>>Go live in the country if you don't want to put up with that kind of "in your face" advertising.>>

Why move? I just remove the sign and throw it away. It is “in your face” advertising, and that’s Ugly part.

>>Now, if you don't mind, I need to get my signs for my business ready to put up......>>

Incase you don’t know, you are breaking the law by posting signs on public property. Do you have any respect for the law? The city can issue a sign permit for properly placed signs.

This joker starts out as if he is really concerned with how trashy these stickered signs look, and I do have to admit, they look like crap. However, they serve a purpose. Now it turns out that he's just an irresponsible, incompetent, lawbreaking spammer.

Well, I just printed up 300 stickers. I guess its time to get busy.

I'm making a difference!

Sure they are.

Ohhhh - I see what you mean. Right - they actually are illegal signs.

I stopped counting when I removed my 6,000th illegal sign four years ago.
