"Update on "Real estate Investor Seeks Apprentice" signs"
I stumbled upon this one.
Although I haven’t seen as many Real estate Investor Seeks Apprentice signs, I do still see them.
I was invited to a seminar last week and as a favor to a "friend", I attended. This was a seminar for Nouveau Riche which claims to be a college on real estate.
During the seminar, the presenter would bring up individuals for testimonials. One particular guy said "I saw a sign that said Real estate Investor Seeks Apprentice, so I called and it was the best thing I could have ever done". BAM, It hit me like a ton of bricks, Nouveau Riche is the company behind all those illegal Real estate Investor Seeks Apprentice signs.
I'm just starting to dig into this however; I wanted to see if anyone has found anything else on the Real estate Investor Seeks Apprentice signs.

I see the "seeks apprentice" signs every once in a while. I think there are many different seminars that push various real estate pitches. I think there are a dozen or more (maybe a hundred) national gurus who travel around the country and sign up followers for all kinds of things -- paid seminars, mentoring services, audio, video, and printed subscription newsletters, legal services, mortgage brokers, etc. I often see full page ads in the paper and promos on late night TV for their free senminars. I've never had the patience to sit through one though I have been tempted.

After three straight years of these signs being posted all over -- with the same set of phone numbers -- they suddenly have vanished in recent months in the areas I patrol (a portion of the Salt Lake Valley). I'd like to think sharks have something to do with it, but I think it's more likely the local scamsters either gave up or got busted.

I am still seeing them in San Jose area... but they are mostly old signs that I take down when I see them.
Been seeing a few 'house for sale' with a 800 number and extension signs.. but I am pretty sure that it is a local loser doing that. I think I have all his signs sliced up.

The cockeyed website is always good. If you haven't looked his website, take some time and look.
There was only one batch of the Real Estate Investor Seeks Apprentice and they haven't returned.
Plenty of the solo sign spammers that offer to buy my house (at a greatly reduced price of course) or rent to own (at an inflated price for those who have bad credit and really shouldn't be buying a house).
