"Forsyth Furniture"

Here we go again...I just missed a spammer unloading his van onto the streets of Sandy Springs(north of Atlanta) with spam promoting a 'Going out of business sale' (coroplast, 24"X28", on landscape stakes). This 'sale' was promoted in an adjacent county for MONTHS--signs all over the place! The small print at the bottom--'Support local law enforcement...signs will be removed by Sun. PM'. Well, I DO support our folks in blue--by removing the signs LONG BEFORE Sun. PM. The # for the printer is 813-672-1991...one of our regulars? This is the same neon-looking junk(neon is illegal on signs in this county) used to help Linen Loft and others go out of business in our area. If a supervisor checks in the morning, he may not want to return to our area again...I'm headed out right now to collect a few more. I also posted another 'General' message on ClarkHoward.com to stir up some more interest (Clark's a consumer activist-type geek with a large Atlanta following as well as national syndication). Wish me luck!!!

Made it back with no fewer than two dozen former signs from this furniture schnook. Lot's o' new landscape stakes if anybody needs any. What a waste of time and money!

May I again suggest contacting your city representatives and having them contact the furniture store?
Or, as I have done, picket the store handing out flyers saying people who support this business are supporting litter?
Otherwise these spam monkeys chalk up the lost signs to the cost of doing business and it doesn't slow them down much.
You need to go above their heads.

Thanks for the suggestion to contact local officials...unfortunately, we are in an unincorporated area just outside of Atlanta...the county is responsible for enforcing sign codes. This is one GIANT county with many of the services going to the southside while the money comes from the northside...don't get me started. We do have a Sandy Springs/North Fulton Clean and Beautiful Assoc. So far, they have made tremendous progress with traffic lights, sidewalks, etc., but little concentrated effort toward illegal signs...thus, my early morning exploits continue. We shall continue to collect landscape stakes!!!
