"savealotsigns.com"

I was doing a google search related to signs, and an ad appeared
for this web site: http://www.savealotsigns.com

I love this clueless slogan advocating illegal sign use on their
web site:

Use street signs all over town to advertise your small or large business.

Should say "lose signs all over town trying to advertise your business."
If I only had a dollar for every sign I've sharked...

Uh oh. The savealotsigns web site also says Dealers Wanted. Make Money From Home.
So, are we soon going to be seeing spam encouraging people to work from home selling spam? I guess it says a lot about the upstanding people in the sign business that no one reminds people to post the signs legally. That and they often have trouble spelling.
More work for them, more fun for us.

I have NO problem with someone trying to make a living, but I DO have a problem with encouraging illegal activity whether for a profit or not. So I sent the following Email to these people:

Would you please notify customers
that placing signs along roadways
or on utility poles is illegal in
most places? And it is also illegal
to post signs on non-public property
without the consent of the property
owner or manager?

Simply advise them to check with
their local government zoning office.

The main reason these placements are
illegal is that they distract drivers
and cause accidents.

I'm sure that is NOT your intention --
especially since you could be included
in a liability lawsuit because your
website encouraged it:
"Street signs are the most aggressive
way to advertise..."
