An advisory for those recently registering for the CAUSS forum.
We are aware that several of the newly registered participants to CAUSS are unable to sign on after changing their initially assigned password. The reason may be one of several. Primarily it may be due to certain ISP’s that are filtered because of their nature. It could also be that certain email addresses are not acceptable to the software that is now in place. Certain “throw away” email addresses are no longer acceptable. Those using “throw away” email addresses which were registered prior to August are “grand fathered.”
Most of you are aware of the security breach this past August. Although some of the email addresses and certain other files were hacked, any and all information removed is severely dated and has no useful information whatsoever. This was addressed on September 30, 2003.
In the process of the software being reprogrammed and rewritten it was necessary to restrict the “carte blanche” entry that CAUSS maintained for so many years. It is unfortunate that one or two people caused such an inconvenience, but the necessary steps were taken to protect the general interest of all participants in the forum.
Any one having a discrete issue, please email the webmaster-at-causs.org.
