"Spam"

Hello all,

I found this website from another forum and just wanted to drop by and say hello. This just proves there is a cause for everything. Those "we buy houses for cash" are misleading. I agree. However, I do buy houses. It is not always for cash. That is why i simply say "I buy houses" I find the signs extremely powerful and can reach a large audience. I do believe they are not a hazard. I personally do not place them on TP at all. I use wood stakes.

I would like to make a great point. Why is there not a huge fuss about the election signs? Everywhere I go I see 10 of them to one Coroplast sign. Why don't you complain about the Coroplast election signs not being recycled? Why don't you complain about them being spammed all over the place? Why, because they are legal. I feel as though since they can spam their free advertisment, so can I.

I don't dislike your cause, I feel the same, however, since others do it, catch me if you can. I just think if you want to point fingers, don't point this way, others have led the way and I am just following.

Feel free to take away my signs, because there are more where they came from.

BTW...when you try to sell your house and find the appraised value isn't what you hoped, thank yourself. Since we buy houses and sell them at a higher price, we help raise prices. So with said...enjoy.

If this was true, then this would be the end of your post. But it isn't, is it?

Congratulations. Now are you placing your signs legally?

There is - especially when they're in the public ROW. There are several threads about it.

>Everywhere I go I see
>10 of them to one

Hmm... most of the small-to-midsize election signs I see are paper or flimsy cardboard.

> Why don't you complain

They are usually legal if placed on private property not within 10 feet of a public ROW. Individual municipalities have different laws - so it's best to check with local code enforcement before pulling disputed signs. We have complained and pulled signs if they are placed illegally.

>I feel as though since
>they can spam their free

If you follow the same laws they do, you can. Placing another illegal sign with one or a bunch of others doesn't make it any less illegal.

>I don't dislike your cause, I

Oh, you dislike our cause all right - your attitude proves it.

>I

And we pull their signs as well. Why don't you be a leader and show *them* how to advertise legally. Maybe they'll follow *you*!

It's your money.

Only if someone buys. And who's to say you're the only person who can sell at a higher price? But this isn't the place for that discussion.

I think that says it all.

If your signs are posted legally in my area, then you're not even on my radar. I don't know you exist, and I allow you to continue to exist. I apply this same irrational reasoning to political signs.

Coroplast can't be recycled economically in the traditional sense of the word. There's no sense in raising a "fuss" in a situation like that.

Thanks for stopping by.

This fellow is exactly why I use stickers rather than removal. Removal? He invites it. A good embarrassing sticker campaign will make this guy slink under a rock and whither away.

Try a slogan that reveals his business ethic in 6 words or less. Then include the local regs against signs in tiny font size. Every driver who sees his crappy stickered sign will get a laugh and will spread the word that he's a crook. Every one of his signs will dry up 1000 potential customers. He'll stop signing, you betcha!

Fasson Super-Permenant Crack And Peel! He can't get it off to save his life.

Have at him, folks.

I'm viscerally opposed to stickering, myself, but check out the reasoning in the last sentence of Mr. Wasamatter's post. I missed it in my first reading:

He buys houses at BELOW-market prices (obviously from people in distressed circumstances)--which would depress the housing market.

Then, he resells them AT market price. There's no way around that--no open-market item is going to sell at a price point that the market won't bear.

And, somewhere in Wasamatter's reptilian, Economics101-flunkout little mind, he thinks this exercise in inventory churning is somehow driving market prices UP!

This is frightening.

Truly frightening.
