"Question about Fairfax CE"

I was looking at this Fairfax County web page

http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dpz/faqs/concerns.htm

and it says to contact Virginia DOT about signs in the public ROW. Does this apply even to county or municipal ROW? Has anyone had luck getting Virginia DOT to enforce?

Have you checked the VA archives?
There is quite a bit posted about this and the actions taken by several individuals in the Fairfax area.
Also there is very reliable CE information posted in the CE forum.

In the mean time, I'll try and find a good email address for one of the leaders in that area.

VDOT never responds. They are always too busy. Even if they did, it wouldn't make any difference. The signs are always put up again every Saturday morning. The builders and mortgage companies all use the same sign company to post their signs. It appears to be a big business. I filed a copmlaint with Fairfax County police, and they weren't interested. I also contacted every local TV station. No response. The Board of Supervisors doesn't seem to care either. The only hope to keep Fairfax County clean, is the constant vigilence of the members of CAUSS. Signs must be cleared every weekend. I have noticed a big improvement on Lee Highway.
Thank you, whoever you are.
