"Spammer Bluff"

I love it when these street spammers bluff:

Well Signshark, just so that you know I have permission from the city that on the weekends signs can be put out but they must be picked up by the weekend or they will be discarded. Also the vacant lots that you seen the signs on I own them or I have permission from the owner and contracts with them. I am here to help people not low ball them and steal home but give them the full worth. Then I help people get into homes with no hassle. I don't know if you have ever lived in a car but I have with my two son and people can be cold sometimes so God has blessed me so I want to bless others. Every weekend I put out a lot of signs so excuse me if i can not pick all of them up by the end of the weekend.I will try to do better. But thanks for your concern.
Adam ......

(My response)

Mr. Adam,

I have been removing "bandit" signs for nearly 11 years and I can assure you that I know the law. The city compliance office does not give "permission" to anyone to put up signs that violate the city ordnance. (This is a common ploy used by bandit sign people because they know that code compliance people do not work on the weekends.) A sign is a sign and there is no stipulation in the ordinance that allows for weekend sign placement.

I do not take down signs that are on private property.

It does not matter what good you think you might be doing with your signs; they are illegal, ugly and nothing but litter. There is no difference between your signs and someone throwing their McDonald's bag out their car window.

What if we let everyone put signs out that thought they were doing good.
