The monthly signs are up again. Even after being given a copy of the sign laws in the Texas Transportation Code, the Texas Administration Code and the Houston Sign Code (applies to Extraterritorial Jurisdiction), the Cinco Ranch Home Owners' Association refuses to stop placing signs in the public right of way. This in spite of the fact that the association prohibits many/most yard signs and do a pretty good job of picking up business related bandit signs. They use the typical bandit sign argument that 'it is effective' and seem not to care that it is illegal.
So if you are in the area, please pick up a few; they are at almost every neighborhood entrance from major roads like Mason, Peek, Westheimer, Cinco Ranch Blvd, etc. If you are a resident (or not) and so inclined, complain to the CRHOA at 281-599-0408.
