A few months back I was pulling up some "Cash for Cars" signs one night in Dallas when one of the spammers came driving up, pretty mad. I'm a quite a bit faster than he is so I drove off without a much of a confrontation, though he tried to chase me for a block.
Just so you know what to look for: He was driving a old full-size white van, no side windows, somewhat beat-up. (Sorry, I didn't stick around to get the make.) He looks to be in his 50's, considerably over-weight, mostly bald.

There're a couple of these guys in the Dallas area. One has been seen driving a black Ford F-150 that's been all dolled up. He used to live in the apartments in the Far North Dallas area along the NATA Tollway right south of GWBT SH190.
The others were apparently the "business end" of the group and they were driving a Red Ford F-250 with the "quick snatch" wrecker attachement on the rear. It's the type of rig that we refer to as Concrete Cowboy's Pick'umUP Truck. They were in the Far North Garland - Far NE Dallas area.

This was on a Thursday night, about 9pm, at the corner of Lovers Lane and Greenville Ave. They seem to love that spot, routinely putting a sign on the NW corner telephone pole and putting a staked sign in the ground on the SW corner. Other favorite spots of theirs are: 1. the telephone pole at the exit of the Tom Thumb grocery 2. a block east of there, at the SE corner of Lovers and Skillman 3. the NW corner of Fisher and Skillman, 4. various places up and down Greenville.
