The sheriff's dept is out of the question in Dallas County. They have more trouble (polictics) than they can say grace over. Paintball guns? not hardly. Get caught using one of those in town and you're in some deep stuff, up to your ears.
First of all, TxDOT does a darn good job of keeping the signs out of the 635 ROW, that's not where the problem lies. It's the service roads, which are in the jurisdicton of either Dallas or Garland.

It is not in the scope of CAUSS to block traffic, even for a few seconds. Besides, it's against state law to impede the flow of traffic. The only exception is an injury type accident, or some type of ligitimate construction.
>Can someone take a picture of the area/signs to see how bad >it is?
It's not that bad anymore. On occasions, Yes, It gets hit hard. The Northern and Northeastern parts of LBJ usually get cleaned by sharks or CE at least once a week. It's that area of LBJ on the far southside of Dallas that's a real problem.
Both Dallas and Garland do not have the same proactive stands as the other municipalities in the surrounding areas. Also, both of the cities have more to deal with that command much higher priorities and the signs take a back seat.
As stated, yes those areas continue to give us problems. But, we at CAUSS have managed to get a handle on the area and it's not near as bad as it was five years ago. The spammers know we are right behind them, where ever they hit.
