"Good run this morning"

G'mornin all!

Just got 3 truckloads this am in about 2 hours. Even picked up myself a new T-Post from the back of some refi now sign.

This trash kinda builds up bad if you don't keep em at bay by having regular runs at em.

It might actually be closer to two loads, I saved the stakes where possible and that cuts into how many signs I could collect before having to hit a dumpster. Found a trash truck on my biggest haul who told me which dumpster to use as not to inconvenience anyone. They've always been helpful in taking the signs around here.

Homebuilder signs are already back up and I saw an open house outside our neighborhood, the guy picking up the signs had stickers on his truck saying why rent, own your own home today, we finance anyone and that sorta thing. Didn't grab his number, but I wonder how many of the "NEED CASH?" type signs I picked up were his.

Yay!

Someone picked up the signs I missed, even the girls softball registration signs!

Several popped back up during the day Saturday and Sunday, but they're all gone now!

Many thanks to whoever got the rest.

If you are talking the Barker-Cypress/Fry Road/Westgreen/Kingsland corridor then I was the one pulling up all the remaining softball signs.

Been averaging 200-300 per week. (not counting godo old Carrington Apts and Merriwood Townhouses who I cleaned out two weeks in a row.

Based on your picture, I got one of those big T-post signs also.

This week it has been Mr. Huge Book Sale as a newcomer. Selling books out of a storefront next to Target.

Great haul.

I do not understand why week after week we pull up the builders signs, and they continue to put them out. In my area they have quit putting some them in the area where I normally pull them up but then move out a little further and put them there. Of course they still get pulled! I pull some on Friday night and the same ones re-appear on Sat. morning. That must cost them in labor. I've been getting 100-200 per weekend for 5 years (say 45 weeks a year) and that amounts to 33,750 signs at an average of 150 per weekend. At $5.00 a sign, that is $168,750. I wonder if they ever put pencil to the paper and see what it is costing. Of course if they sell just one house with one sign we miss, it pays for a lot of signs. If I run out of space, I just pull the last sign or point one the opposite direction then of course all of the previous ones served no purpose.

Whopper must have pulled close to 800-1000 signs. Keep that up for a few weeks and that will really put a dent in their pocket book. But if he is like me, the wife gets tired of me doing that so I have to moderate my efforts at times.

But Sharks are hungy critters!
