I was in Okla City for the past two days on business. The primary was just held and the number of political signs on the airport side of town was in the thousands upon thousands.
One of the passengers in the vehicle commented, not knowing that I'm an active CAUSS member, "wonder who is going to pick up all this mess" "The city surely will not". My comment was "likely the local neighborhood citizens"
Each and every corner literally had somewhere between forty to fifty signs. That's 200 signs per corner. I was astounded that two or three canadates could inflict some much damage (litter).
Being from out of town and out of state plus having on a business suit, I had to settle for staying in the vehicle. I sincerely hope the good folks on the south side manage to get the signs picked up before the ROW's have to be mowed again, which will be soon.If they or the city can't get the signs picked up it's going to be one heck of a mess.
