"Clean-up in Raleigh"

I think we have WON THE WAR with the "work at home" crowd.
Raleigh hasn't been this clean - and stayed this clean - for
a long time. I've been cleaning a few "working123.com" signs
remaining in the north Raleigh area.

There is still an occasional batch of insurance signs, but they're easy to keep under control. There is also a small and uneven stream of Collegeworks painting signs, widely distributed with no discernable pattern.

One of the big culprits is Mattress Warehouse on Glenwood Ave.
They have been putting out those huge hideous black and neon green signs since they opened. First, it was the Grand Opening that lasted several weeks, then every weekend was a Blowout Sale, and now that those have mysteriously vanished, now its a Tent Sale. Some people just never learn.

And, I've been watching for the real estate people putting out their signs, which is getting ridiculous on the weekend. I'm letting the Raleigh Zoning people handle that....and I GOT ONE!
Caught him red-handed. I didn't confront him at all, but I got his description, vehicle, and license plate. Raleigh Zoning will have a nice call on Monday morning.

Yeah, the Herbalife sign ban seems to be working pretty well - though there always seem to be some locals only too willing to take up the slack. But life has been, for most of us, an awful lot easier since the first of May.

Proof once again that people can make a difference if they care enough.

Yes, signs are much more scarce now. that working123.com idiot still posting signs. I HAVE seen replacements go up for some that have been removed. That mattress store and their signs are pissing me off though. I got about 11 of them one night, and the next day, they were replaced! Now that I have a small and highly manueverable vehicle, I can start grabbing them more quickly. Might be time to start painting them and returning them back to their rightful owner. I saw some as far away as alexander drive in RTP. think i'll get the metal stands too. shirley they have to cost more than the signs.

working123.com is Herbalife! Document the new signs fully and contact DenverShark or Newbie with the details.

All the working123.com signs that I've seen so far are pre-ban leftovers, or ones that I can't verify were put up after the ban.

The main batch of them went up immediately before the ban, but I know what areas of town are clean, and will be watching.

Yes, definitely get those metal stands with the signs.

These people have caught onto the fact that their signs are being removed at a furious pace, yet they keep putting them out. I guess they just won't ever get the point.

I had the same happen to me last weekend- I cleaned some out of a very high-profile area, and the next day they were replaced. The City of Raleigh knows about it; if you can, watch out for any vehicles which might be putting them out. I've seen their official truck used to retrieve the signs one Sunday, and I suspect that the same vehicle is used to put them out. Get a license plate number if you can.

Do you know when these idiots put their signs out? I didnt have time to grab any this weekend. I'm tempted to actually go to the place and nab those 4 or 5 they have in front! heh.

I don't know the exact time, but they are usually out by 10pm or so on Friday night. The highest volume areas (parts of Glenwood Ave.) will get replaced if the signs happen to vanish that night.
