One of my co-woorkers has decided that he also wants to remove street spam, he asked me to make a sign ripper for him. I made a tool from plumbing pipe, with a sharpened bolt through one end. I gave him 2 four foot lengths, one has a sleeve to join them for the signs that are hard to reach.
The fight continues, with an extrs hand to help our side.

I was just in NC last week and saw only one sign in a ten mile trip from and to the airport.

This sounds like a sharky stick except it uses thin wall steel conduit rather than plumbing pipe. It is a very effective tool. Mine has probably done in 10,000 signs and is still going strong.
