Went out Friday night, and the city looked clean! But...picked up the trail midway up Capital Blvd... its the old "www.successcanhappen.com" spammer. They put out one about every mile or so up to the K-Mart.
The other big problem is the businesses who have gotten the idea that they can spam the entire city every weekend with signs; the "Furniture Warehouse" on Glenwood Ave. has been having their "Grand Opening" for a month now, and has put their huge signs all over town every weekend, with lots of hispanic people holding up extra-huge signs on Saturday, again, all over town.
Also, some "seminar" at the State Fair grounds flea market - "Triumph 2000" has been putting up large numbers of their signs all over town.
All of these are on wire frames. Perhaps these are easier to set out than to nail signs to the posts?

The wire frames are easier to put out, but more expensive. Take pleasure in knowing that it's costing them more when they disappear.
I would recommend contacting your city right away regarding the furniture store signs. Since it is a "real" business, they might be more likely to clamp down on the signs - especially once they start getting complaints.

I was planning on taking the furniture signs this weekend but was raining and had other tasks to do. They'll be out next weekend so I will grab them then. Tempted to paint them and then take to the building when closed. I might also contact the local CE guy too and let him know.
