I live near Exit 4 of the turnpike in Mt. Laurel. The street spam has become very wide spread since this summer. To date, I stop and tear down any signs I pass on my way to work or on solo trips (wife and daughters are not fond of my personal obsessions).
Anyone interested in coordinating to improve coverage, look into leagal issues (township ordinances, etc), feel free to contact me at email@example.com.

Welcome to the CAUSS, just curious, how did you stumble onto the web site?
Experience has taught us in the past three years, ordinances vary from town to town (township in your area), city to city, and state to state. There was one of the PA area sharks that received a good dose of kangaroo local court for picking up a sign in a public right of way. I think they were looking for a source of revenue rather than justice.
Point is, be sure you know the ordinances and state laws before becoming overly ambitious. Another thing is confrontations with the spammers themselves. Avoid at all costs, there's a lot in the general forum on this subject. There was a case in Houston (TX)where a "bandit sign stripper" as they call themselves down there, had a brand new Suburban completely trashed out (insurance company totaled it) by one of the more adamant sign spammers. Be careful and good luck

Thanks for work in south Jersey. You can be sure that there are cities and towns in our country that find these illegal signs very ugly with their code enforcement personnel making every effort to remove them.

Can't, your email is inactive, *shrug* besides, tearing them off works fine. They always use high trafic area's such as convenience stores that have a bank of payphones. There is always a trash barrel near by, tear, tear stuff, and you're done.}> I drove around last night and cleaned up the entire town in less than twenty minutes. My town is 2 miles long and a half mile wide, so it's not that big of an accomplishment. But is something that needs to be done.

I am new here and love that this site exists ...this type of spam always ticked me off and when I saw a recent Car & Driver article about it I decided to do something about ..I travel 38 mile each way to work & see the same " I buy junk cars " sign 15x ..among others ...I am a shark for life ..I am going to contact my local code enforcement till then I'm on duty and fired up about it ! I've taken approximately 50 signs in my young career ..and many more to come . I work odd hours and am usually coming home at 4/5 am ..so I'll get plenty more . I am on patrol in Winslow Twp , Berlin , Sicklerville and I have alot of free time !!
