"Maryland Hwy 301!"

I just got home from driving from the intersection of I-97/301 down 301 to VA. What a piece of crap! I thought Fairfax Co. in VA was bad with their housing development signs! Every 1/4 mile and ever intersection.

Anyone have any email address in the counties that 301 runs through that I can complain?

Cheers

Brian

Anne Arundel County is one of the worst. Their code enforcement claims that state roads are out of their jurisdiction and that citizens are not allowed to remove signs anywhere in the county. They even warned me that someone was sued for damages for taking some company's sign... so you gotta wonder who has the AA Co code enforcement folks in their back pocket? The developers, of course. The only county in Maryland I know where builders can get away with putting up signs on the Interstate highways. I was taking down some of their signs one day anyway near Arundel Mills, and some little league baseball promoter dude drives up and says "Hey I was just starting to take those down... besides, code enforcement told me it would be ok if I put them up over the weekend." This is what you're working against in AA Co... code enforcement telling people how to get around the rules. I'm convinced the only thing that might make things happen there is some honest to goodness investigative reporting by a local news station or newspaper, but who does THAT anymore?

Thanks for the info. Yes, I passes through AA county both on the way to Baltimore and back.

I guess I'd be in trouble big time if I lived in one of those three counties that 301 runs through!

Got a big dose of Annapolis this weekend. Anne Arundel County government (politicians and code enforcement) are completely failing their constituents. There are literally signs on every corner and many inbetween.
