Drove thru Takoma Park today (DC suburbs). Holy cow, what a mess! Along New Hampshire there was literally an "UNWANTED CARS" poster on every telephone pole for at least a mile. Plenty of other ground-based signs as well. If anyone out there is in the DC area looking for some signs to chomp, Takoma Park is fertile hunting grounds...

Ineresting. Last Sept I saw a notice (on this site) about a "Sick of Signs" day in Tacoma Park, with prizes to those who brought in the most signs. I drove down, and picked up some signs along the way, and won 2nd place (a gold painted crow-bar).
I think they are going to repeat it this spring. It's sponsored by a national organization. We need to figure out a way to get the event in more towns, and get more people to do it on a regular basis.
