"Spammers feeding on spam"

Just noticed an interesting trend here in Central Maryland. Local handyman is tearing down real estate weekender signs, cutting them in half, and hand-writing his services for Bush, Leaf, Tree, and Stump Removal on the back side. He even went to the trouble of attempting to spray paint over the builder's advertisement (on the back of his new sign) but it's easy to see right through the paint job.

So whoever you are, Mr. Handyman, thanks for zapping the real estate signs. Next time, just toss 'em in the dumpster.

I find that common around here too. AAMOF, I found that one in particular had been raiding the pickup point for my signs with the DOT, taking what he needed. I stopped putting them out until DOT came by. They were also taking the l;adder stakes for reuse, even if I bent them. So now I cut them into odd shapes with the bolt cutters before putting them out for DOT.

.

Oh, there's a hint of cool in the air, and Winter is coming! I've got to gather more firewood... And Sign stakes make great fire starters!

Ack! Bandit Signs are LITTER!

I submitted an online complaint to CE on this guy since he was being persistent, and they gave him a call. He denied ever having put out signs promoting HIS business (hmmm), CE warned him about the fines, and then, magically, somehow, all his signs came down. I'm sure the business owner in question had nothing to do with that either!
