Recently acquired info suggests that a local shark has been "caught" and identified by a local metro councilman (who regularly plays fast and loose with the truth).
Has anyone's identity and efforts been compromised?

Since removing signs is generally a legal activity, most elected officials appreciate our efforts. Some sharks have a very public profile through testifying at council meetings, news coverage, working with code enforcement, letters to the editor, etc.
Some sharks keep a low profile as a matter of safety or simply as their preference. Spammers have been known to harass sharks in many ways. Some harassment has crossed the line into illegal activity and been turned over to authorities. There is no benefit to providing details here.
It is certainly a good idea to report any threatening activity to local or state police.
