Stop that sign! County cracking down on code violation

More officers out means more citations for non-compliance

Give a second thought to that plan to put a junk vehicle in your yard, an illegal sign in a nearby right of way or ignore, for say, six months, how high your grass is growing.

So-called "bandit" signs, such as this Moody Road sign advertising a yard sale, frequently appear in right of way but are illegal under Clay County's sign ordinance.

SpamShark Note: This is the first community I observed having pro active enforcement. Know of any others?

"they are following up not only on complaints but on any code violation they may observe while on their travels."
