Ok guys im the same guy who posted previously about recycling yard signs in florida, i forgot my password so i made a new account, heres the low down, past few months i was on military deployment but im back now and this sign recycling thing is realy taking off, right now i'm buying signs from a guy in longwood who posts signs for the apartments, im paying him .25 cents a sign with noo stakes. He gives me the ones from apartment complexs that have quit utilizing his sign posting bussiness.
The past month I have been reserching methods to get the ink off these signs even more effectively than before, and just yesterday I came up with a great solution that is going to allow me to process these signs faster than ever. But thiers still one problem....
After extensive reserch i have concluded that thier is baisically three types of ink on signs (when looking at it from a recycling point of view), thier is the #1 "UV curable inks" #2 and then thier is the "inks that air dry" #3 "then thier is the wierd ink that cracks and is rough and i have no idea what it is"
UV curable inks and the #3 inks are a real pain and have been giving me trouble from the beggining, i currently have a method to remove the ink but its too messy to really be used yet, im still refining the process...
but thankfully most signs are not UV ink signs i would estimate rougly 60 percent or more are the common #2 type that i can easily get the ink off of no problem whatsoever.
Ok guys so bottom line is i will pay you guys .25 cents a sign even without the stakes (extra money with the stakes too) so you could be looking at .25-.50 cents per sign (remembering that those two types of ink i cant use.
so you might be thinking "well i have no freaking clue which kind of signs are which", well if you want to find out its really easy, just get some nail polish remover, (acetone) and put a little bit on the sign if the ink smudges than its a #2 sign and I can use it. HINT acetone has absolutely nothing to do with my secret method for removing sign inks.
Finally let me say this I know theres going to be alot of people saying be carefull, well my roomate is a police officer and i can bring him along to make sure im safe, but it would be a good idea to figure out a way to pickup / pay for these signs without a face to face meet for my and your safety, if anyone has any suggestions how this can be sone absolutely safely let me know please,
heres my idea you drop off the signs at an undisclosed location then tell me on email where thier at... then i will pick up the signs at any random time over the next few days, finnally i would either pay you on paypal or i could leave cash in a hidden envelope at the site and email u back when i pick it up, i dont think all this is really neccessary but im kinda concerned since everone has been talking alot about hackers and stuff on here, email me at recyclear@gmail.com or at vafund@gmail.com and let me know if anyones intrested, if no one is i might just start hiring people to drive around and pick up signs STTRREEEET SHAARRRKKS!
