Guys, I think we're finally starting to get the message through to the sign spammers that Connecticut is a VERY EXPENSIVE place for them to conduct business.
Large parts of Middlesex County (my AO), New London County (thanks to Jason and pals) and Litchfield County (thanks to Ethan) are not only cleaner, but also staying clean longer, than just six months ago.
I really think our habit of calling the spammers and telling that the next set of signs will come down as fast as the last ones is helping a lot.
For example, I got the first "U-R-INCHARGE.COM" signs I've seen on this side of the river this morning. when I called good old Terence P. McNeese, he actually answered the phone. I gave him the short message ("I've torn down your signs. If you want to waste more time and money, put more up and I'll tear them down, too."). As I was hanging up the phone, I could hear him shouting - I suspect he's already heard from Jason and is sick of getting bad news.
Let's keep up the pressure. These people are a little slow on the uptake, but maybe we'll get through to them eventually.

I agree. Hamden and North Haven have been staying cleaner longer also. Most of the signs I saw in West Haven this weekend were spray painted over. Let's keep it up!

Hehe, yes, he was not happy when I called and also not happy when "Professor Danials" gave him a call either.
I have to admit, the "homeandsuccess" had gotton me a little depressed over the whole thing. I need to make several more large runs and re-clear the "quiet corner" I also saw Colchester is ridden with many signs at the exit off of rt. 2
The holidays take a disturbingly large amount of time away. Oh well, I will get out again before I go to CA to visit Marfan Baby (My nice Sister It will be interesting to see how things are out there in the home state of Herblelife.

It does seem like trying to hold back the tide sometimes, especially now that I have to do it one-handed for a while. The best thought for cheeering yourself up is to keep a tally of what you're costing them at about $3.00 per sign.
And the sheer STUPIDITY of these people seems limitless - I don't know if you've had "www.stuffedpursed.com" on your side of the river; he or she hit us big in Middlesex County.
Not only did this flaming idiot put the signs at eye level, making them REAL easy to cut off (despite the expensive nails with the big square heads), the bozo apparently never even registered the illiterate URL "stuffedpursed.com." It doesn't exist!
But the 800 number (800-698-4880) DOES exist and is NOT pay-phone blocked. Everyone call it whenever you're near an SNET payphone.

Relax and enjoy your trip. The signs will be here when you get back. Unfortunately.
>Cheers and hope your surgery went OK Redstone!
Mercy Buckets for the good wishes, and thanks for all your work out there.
Thanks also to you, mactheknife. You and some others have made a big difference in the New Haven area.
The Percocets are starting to get the dictation software really confused, so all for now...
