"Latest We Hang christmas Lights signs - go get 'em!" Sun Nov-14-10 10:24 AM by DenverShark
Hey, sharks:
I saw a bunch of the illegal We Hang christmas Lights signs on Speer in the median between Lincoln and University. Couldn't get them - had to be somewhere.
Could someone take care of this area?
The route starts on Speer about a half mile west of University. Then it goes east through Cherry Creek to Colorado. After a detour to put signs up at the entrances to Target, east of Colorado, it goes North on Colorado to Alameda, then north to 7th and then to one block south of Colfax.
They also run down to I25 and Colorado and put up signs at the exit ramps.
Check all of the corners at the main intersections - on the ground and on street signs.
Please help keep our city free from illegal litter!

Sharks:
The spammer is placing new signs in Cherry Creek every day - especially on the weekends! Please cover this area every day and help get rid of these illegal eyesores.

I see where someone had already nailed several signs near University Blvd. and East 1st Avenue. Good work!
Tonight I made a special trip to University and Cherry Creek Drive North and clipped a sign in the median. You can see it if you're heading south.
I also removed some numbers from a sign at South York Street and Speer Boulevard. They do Christmas lights, too, but have a different phone number. So now there are at least 2 companies doing this kind of work. I wonder how many customers they're gonna get from those signs.

Thanks for your help!
The main offender puts up illegal signs on the main streets in the affluent NE Denver neighborhoods. Colorado, Quebec, Monaco from Alameda up a mile or so north of Colfax. Also around the Lowrey area.
If you know of any other areas, please post here.
In the meantime, there are only 22 shopping days until Solstice and even fewer days to hang lights. This would be a good year to put a stop to this ongoing problem.
