"YELLOW RENT-TO-OWN SiGNS IN CENTRAL DENVER"

I have been seeing a lot of those signs on Speer Boulevard and along East 6th Avenue.

I have recently sharked out a few of them, and they come right back the same day.

I did one at the NW corner of 6th Avenue and Washington Street, and it keeps coming back. Now it's too high to reach. Can anyone assist?

Thanks!

I wish I was in your area to help.

You could call D.O.T., which is what solved the situation in my area. They in turn called the power company, and I haven't seen any of the offending signs (in my instance) since.

Some twine, a weight at one end, and a wire saw in the middle will remove most of the sign. I've this setup, but never had a chance to use it.

I hope you find someone to help you there, seems like you've got a project on your hands.

Hi:

I rely on my trusty sharky stick to reach those hi-up signs. Here are pictures and instructions:

Most of the signs I get this way, with the sharky stick.

I use plumbing pipe available at any home improvement store. I have 2 pieces, each is 4 ft long. One has a sharpened bolt through it, (to remove the signs) the other piece has a sleeve attached that joins the 2 pieces together. Usually 1 length is fine, sometimes the 2 pieces joined are required to reach the offending signs. Low cost, and can be assembled with simple tools.

This sounds just like my sharky stick, though mine is made of the thin wall steel conduit rather than plumbing pipe.

Newbie (not)
