If you are in Southern California, your help would be appeciated in removing the Tatto Expo posters/placards that have sprouted for the January Show in Pomona.
Over 175 were removed this weekend, having just gone up overnight on Friday as far as I can ascertain. (These signs run about $6 each last I checked, so someone is out more than pocket change.)
I tried to reason with the show producers in a phone call in November, telling them that for about four years ALL of their signs have disappeared. I told them that radio or television ads would generate more ROI than signs with the lifespan of a gnat.
They ignored me, and spammed over a wide area (I put on about 300 miles this weekend removing the blight).
No doubt there are more signs to be plucked from Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside counties--plus they tend to put them back up (although in smaller quantities) once the initial onslaught is removed. So, any help in Southern California would be appreciated. It's a large territory.
On a related note, I also spoke with another serial street spammer who puts up large quantities of Bridal Expo signs for his annual January show. I told him ALL his signs will come down if he persists in breaking the law (I've also removed these for about four years running). He told me he'll stop putting up illegal signs when his competitors stop doing it. I told him that his logic makes no sense, because I am going to remove illegal signs whether it is from one or a dozen Bridal Expo spammers.
The Bridal Expo spam ought to start appearing any day now in Southern California (sometimes the sign company puts several Tattoo and Bridal Expo signs up on the same light standards or telephone poles, causing truly horrendous blight). If you can help remove any of these Tattoo or Bridal show signs the community and I will thank you.

Glad to hear of your aggressive posture on removing large numbers of signs as soon as you can get to them. If we could just find a good way to get the spammers to remove other spammers signs. I sure liked the idea someone posted long ago to sticker the signs with "Event Cancelled."
