On December 25 2004 while driving along a local freeway I noticed two large wood (6' x 4') "We Buy Houses" signs attached to a cyclone fence with metal wires.
I cut the wires and left the signs laying in the grass as they were too big to fit in my car.
On January 25 2005 I saw that one of the signs had been put back up and I took it down again. I apparently frightened a hawk or falcon which flew off with it's prey.
I wonder if I should carry spray paint to paint over the phone number.
First of all, make darn sure the signs were in the ROW. Taking something off of a cyclone fence is very border line thin, as far as being on the "right side' of the law.
If the person that owns the fence were to come along and take issue with you removing something from his fence, you might have some serious explaining to do.
In most states this constitues "trespass" and in the western states, trespass is right up there with horse stealing.
