Really, then why are the ones you just posted about in Queen Creek spray painted and cut up. Not only are you a hyprocrite but you are also a lier!!!

I looked at the caged animals in the shelter...the cast offs of human society. I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness and betrayal. And I was angry

Why The Queen Creek, AZ Area Was Sharked."
In response to message by mikos

mikos, "you need to get a life" as you say!

Here you go again:

We have to take a stand against people who ugly up our streets with illegal trash signs. So, we sometimes take the time to make a difference! Illegal street spam signs do attract more illegal signs if left unchecked. What do you do for your community in your free time? We work with the Police and Code Enforcement to help with this problem.

Removal of illegal signs is the best option. It is not always possible. If a sign is hard to remove, or there are too many of them, it makes sense to remove the phone number(s) so that the illegal sign spammers won't profit from the illegal sign(s). Also it puts them on notice to stop putting the illegal signs up.

There were 84 illegal signs out in that area. Many of them were removed. Sometimes, when the problem is this bad, if all the signs are removed, it just clears the competition away for a new round of illegal street spam signs. That's great for the first guy to put up his trash. Not so great for the community!

Now, at least everyone knows that these signs are illegal.

Illegal activity, like illegal sign posting, is NOT a protected activity. You would not expect the police to come and help someone get the crack they thought they bought, when a dealer gave them fake drugs, would you? Why do you think that illegal signs posted on telephone poles would have any legal protections? They don't. Anyone can disable them or remove them.

If the defacing of illegal signs is a crime, then this shark should have been stopped when a Sheriff's Deputy drove right by me while I was painting out a phone number on a wooden sign! In fact, the police like the help in fighting illegal signs! A Deputy told me so while I was removing illegal signs!

Think about it, do you use other people's property without permission? NO! Why do you think it is OK to put illegal signs on utility poles? The poles are not yours. The utilities will NOT give you permission to post signs on their poles. The nails are hazardous to the utility workers who have to climb the poles. The utility workers need to climb the poles and maintain them with the big thunderstorms we get around here. We need electric power and phone service more than trashy illegal signs!

Why would anyone buy something from an illegal sign? I would not like to get ripped-off by someone who knows that their signs are illegal and still puts them out. An illegal sign poster sounds like someone who breaks any laws that they don't like. If you don't care about sign laws, why would you care about laws that protect me from scams?

You sound a little too upset about these signs being disabled. What do you sell? Do you sneak around at night posting illegal signs? If you have a service or product to sell, advertise legally like most people do!

Maybe you can help your community by removing signs...

Take care,
NoSpam

P.S. Read the FAQ. This is all covered there...

My problem is not that you remove the signs, for that I thank you. My problem is the manner you left these ones and the fact that you stick flyers on the signs promoting this website, that makes you just as much a spammer. If you are going to do something, do it right the first time. You left my streets a mess, we don't want you here, stay away until you take them down properly. I'm sure your buddies on this board would not leave the signs in the manner you did, all you did is make those "ugly" signs even uglier. Maybe you need to reed you FAQ a bit better and make one of those silly tools so you can do the job right the first time. If you are going to go about a "mission" do it in a dignified manner, thus promoting your cause in a good light. NoSpam, you did just the opposite, your "Causs" looks just as bad as the spammers do.

Look, I've already explained that I DID remove a bunch of signs.

I also explained that there were at least 84 illegal signs in that area.

The telephone poles had signs all over them all the way up to about 15 feet in the air. You could not put more signs on them. Some signs were placed over the top of others. I removed a bunch and left some sharked signs to serve as a warning to spammers that their signs will not be tolerated.

Why don't YOU go do something about them since you don't want me to come back to your area?

Best regards,
NoSpam

I understand your concern. However, please keep in mind the overall objective is to eliminate illegal signs. Not today or tomorrow, but over the next few months.

CAUSS does not officially promote stickers. But they do work. They:

* Inform the spammer that illegal signs will not be tolerated.
* Inform the public that those signs are illegal and that anyone can remove them.
* Get more people active removing signs.
* Inform city officials that illegal signs are so bad that citizens have to take action.
* Notify the media that the illegal sign program is a hot issue in the area.

Metro Denver was incredibly trashed 4-5 years ago. Someone started a stickering campaign and it worked miracles! There are now dozens of active sharks in the area, and probably hundreds of unknown individuals who remove illegal signs in their neighborhoods. The issue was covered by 2 newspapers and 2 TV stations. We got prime-time coverage, which encouraged even more citizens to remove illegal signs!

By the way, Denver is now very clean. I haven't seen a sticker in over a year.

Hang in there. Please help remove signs (sticker and all) in your neighborhood.

Thank you,

DenverShark
