Why The Queen Creek, AZ Area Was Sharked." In response to message by mikos mikos, "you need to get a life" as you say!
Here you go again:
We have to take a stand against people who ugly up our streets with illegal trash signs. So, we sometimes take the time to make a difference! Illegal street spam signs do attract more illegal signs if left unchecked. What do you do for your community in your free time? We work with the Police and Code Enforcement to help with this problem.
Removal of illegal signs is the best option. It is not always possible. If a sign is hard to remove, or there are too many of them, it makes sense to remove the phone number(s) so that the illegal sign spammers won't profit from the illegal sign(s). Also it puts them on notice to stop putting the illegal signs up.
There were 84 illegal signs out in that area. Many of them were removed. Sometimes, when the problem is this bad, if all the signs are removed, it just clears the competition away for a new round of illegal street spam signs. That's great for the first guy to put up his trash. Not so great for the community!
Now, at least everyone knows that these signs are illegal.
Illegal activity, like illegal sign posting, is NOT a protected activity. You would not expect the police to come and help someone get the crack they thought they bought, when a dealer gave them fake drugs, would you? Why do you think that illegal signs posted on telephone poles would have any legal protections? They don't. Anyone can disable them or remove them.
If the defacing of illegal signs is a crime, then this shark should have been stopped when a Sheriff's Deputy drove right by me while I was painting out a phone number on a wooden sign! In fact, the police like the help in fighting illegal signs! A Deputy told me so while I was removing illegal signs!
Think about it, do you use other people's property without permission? NO! Why do you think it is OK to put illegal signs on utility poles? The poles are not yours. The utilities will NOT give you permission to post signs on their poles. The nails are hazardous to the utility workers who have to climb the poles. The utility workers need to climb the poles and maintain them with the big thunderstorms we get around here. We need electric power and phone service more than trashy illegal signs!
Why would anyone buy something from an illegal sign? I would not like to get ripped-off by someone who knows that their signs are illegal and still puts them out. An illegal sign poster sounds like someone who breaks any laws that they don't like. If you don't care about sign laws, why would you care about laws that protect me from scams?
You sound a little too upset about these signs being disabled. What do you sell? Do you sneak around at night posting illegal signs? If you have a service or product to sell, advertise legally like most people do!
Maybe you can help your community by removing signs...
Take care, NoSpam
