I have been contacting the land owners in the area that I remove signs and requesting permission to remove all illegally posted signs.

The response has been overwhelming positive. Even Srp (utility company) is sending me a letter giving me permission to remove signs from poles and canal banks.

I started this after some security guards called the police and reported me as vandalizing private property when I removed some signs. The police just gave me the standard do not take the law into your own hands speech and left.

It takes some time to get the letters but I encourage you to do this.

Excellent idea, slasher!

Many years ago, I was out on a country road removing an illegal sign on a telephone pole. A big car pulled up and three big guys jumped out. I thought, "this should be interesting."

Then ran over and said they worked for the utility company and they have been trying to find the spammer putting up signs on their utility poles. They thanked me profusely. We then had a great conversation.
