#1. "RE: Any AL Sharks Out There?" In response to Reply # 0
I have been a reader of the site for a while, but finally joined. I am a "shark" in Birmingham. Signs aren't too bad in the nicer parts of town, but some areas get plastered. I do my best to keep them in check. I have a sign beating stick, but I'll add a sharky stick to my arsenal. Thanks for the site and info.

Welcome aboard and glad you posted. There may be other sign sharks who are working quietly to help keep things clean.
The sharky stick stands the test of time as well as the test of thousands of whacked signs. Mine was a gift from the original designer of the sharky stick several years ago. Remarkably, it shows virtually no signs of wear after whacking thousands of signs. The only maintenance it requires is tightening the nut every so often. I could fix that with a lock washer but I have kept with design version 1.0.
