"News Video from Salt Lake City"
Mon Mar-20-06 08:02 PM by GreatWhite-BH

It appears that the sign issue has come to a head in the Salt Lake City area.
The link to a video is attached. It does appear the media producing this video has taken a slanted view in favor of the street spammers. However, the video can be taken either way.

or you can go direct to the video in this link

May we request that all our Code Enforcement folks send the media an email or even call for that matter to show support for the removal of illegal bandit signs. This support coming from our hard working CE folks from all over the country will go a long way in showing our fellow sharks in the Salt Lake area, that they have our full support.

Email for the reporter is reed@abc4.tv

The web page for SLC doesn’t show (a) Code Enforcement as such, however we did find two numbers, one for illegal dumping and the other for FAQ’s.

Updated information for the SLC area code enforcement officers.

Salt Lake County code enforcement officers are:

Anita Nelson, code enforcement officer
anelson@slco.org
(801) 381-3359 (cell)

Mike "L" Montoya, code enforcement officer
MMontoya@slco.org
(801) 381-2663 (cell)

The following updated link on the bandit sign situation in SLC was run on Monday night.
http://www.abc4.com/local_news/local_headlines/story.aspx?content_id=37D201E0-B78C-46EF-8324-79DA017700A7

The updated link gives a somewhat more balanced view of the earlier reports that aired on Sunday night.

The amazing part is that no one from the city or any public official would or could make any comments on camera regarding the non enforcement of existing ordinaces in SLC or the county.
