"Letter to the Editor, Dallas Morning News"

Saw this in today's paper (Sunday, 20-March-2005)...

Remove signs of times

Help delete Dallas County's eyesore litter, those annoying 3-foot-by-2-foot neon, yellow and white signs at intersections.

They offer to buy your falling-down house or take possession of your dead car. They advertise cheap insurance, lose 10 pounds in 10 days or make $100 an hour the quick-and-easy way.

These illegal signs are all over because the people putting them up are too cheap to rent a billboard or pay for a newspaper ad, as legitimate businesses must do.

So put Dallas' eyesore litter where it belongs – with the rest of the garbage.

Thanks for the post.
I'm really impressed by the number of our sharks that read the Op/Ed pages within our area.
We've received several emails which bring this article to our attention.

Just goes to show that there is a silent majority out there that dislike the sign litter as much as CAUSS sharks.
