"Herbalife Plus in Memphis"

I was driving through Memphis and western Tennessee (along route 51) a few days ago. There was evidence of the storm damage -- huge fallen trees and blocks without power and traffic signals. However, the reason I am posting is that I saw a large number of spam signs, mostly Coroplast-type affixed to utility poles. I did see numerous Herbalife format "Work at Home" signs in at lease three different styles, suggesting different spammers. I probably saw 15 Herbalife signs and another 30 other signs. There were We Buy Houses, Truck Tires, Aviod Foreclosure, medical/dental insurance, and others. The sign density was reminiscent of Dallas area 3-4 years ago. I did not have time to stop.

How new do you think the signs were?

DS,

Excellent Question! If I drive back on the same path I'll stop and "flex the Coroplast" (ref., Squeeze the Charmin.) The signs did not seem faded but it is certainly possible they are 2+ years old. I only saw them from a distance driving by. There were so many different signs, it is entirely possible the area has not been cleaned up in years. (I did not see any Goldwater in '64 or Impeach Earl Warren signs.)
