Essentially, Cal Trans got in trouble for taking down banners on highways but leaving up American flags. A judge ordered it to remove all banners or leave all banners. Last week, CalTrans decided to leave all. But after having freeway overpasses littered with banners of all sorts, Cal Trans is now removing ALL banners, including American flags.

Interesting article. Some how, I can't help but sense UC Berkeley, circa 1960, deja vu. Makes me wonder if this isn't a bunch of gray headed 'flower children'. Also have to ponder if this judge failed get the message from the US congress and the American People's stance on the flag.

When I heard CalTrans decided to leave all banners rather than remove the flags, I figured everyone would put out some sort of sign. Trouble. So, I'm glad they are ALL down. I'd rather see the USA than see the flag, if you get my drift.
